Job summary

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, understand and speak basic English to perform essential functions.
• Knowledge of food handling procedures, preparation, production, standard kitchen equipment, food safety and sanitation.
• Ability to follow menus and recipes accurately.
• Capable of lifting 40–60 pounds and sustained standing for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve food items for students and staff.
• Maintain production records and monitor temperatures.
• Submit invoices and time sheets to the Food Service Director.
• Oversee cashiers and ensure proper closing procedures for lunch line.
• Ensure a safe and sanitary kitchen and cafeteria environment.
