Job summary

Bethel School District is seeking a part-time Child Nutrition worker to prepare and serve meals, maintain clean serving areas, and help ensure proper portioning for students and staff at Bethel Middle.

The role requires adherence to food safety standards, ability to follow district procedures, and willingness to work the stated hours across 170 days/year. Fingerprinting, background check, and a Washington state food handler's permit are required.

Qualifications

• Experience serving food desirable; experience working with school age children desirable.
• Requires fingerprinting and background check.
• Washington state food handler's permit is required.

Responsibilities

• Sets up serving carts and warming ovens for serving meals.
• Serves meals to students and staff; ensures correct portions and attractive presentation.
• Cleans and wipes serving and meal areas between meal periods; refills containers and serving items.
• Assists in placing food in serving carts and ovens following proper food handling procedures.
• Cleans carts, tables and serving areas after meals; stores equipment.
• Cleans refrigerator, storage areas, grills, deep fryers and shelves routinely.
