Job summary

Maschio's Food Service Inc. in Florida is seeking experienced Food Service Workers for school cafeterias. This role is Monday through Friday, day shift with summers off and no weekend or holiday work.

You'll assist with daily food preparation and serving, operate kitchen equipment safely, uphold HACCP sanitation standards, and help create a positive dining experience for students and staff.

The position requires teamwork, reliability, and the ability to stand for long periods.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a school cafeteria or institutional food service setting.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs.
• Food Handler's permit or Serv Safe Certification (preferred if applicable).

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily food prep, including chopping, cooking, baking, and assembling meals.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely (ovens, slicers, dishwashers, etc.).
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen, serving lines, storage areas and dining spaces.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and hygiene regulations (HACCP standards).
• Provide friendly, patient service to students of all ages.
• Assist with opening and closing duties, including cleaning and securing equipment.
• Technical proficiency in running a POS system.
