Chartwells K-12 is hiring immediately for part-time Food Service Worker positions at New Fairfield Public Schools in New Fairfield, CT. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 9:00 am–3:00 pm; K12 experience is helpful.

Summary: Prepares, presents and serves food as needed, with duties spanning prep, weighing ingredients, safe carrying of supplies, proper storage, sanitation and customer service to ensure a positive dining experience.

Qualifications

• K12 experience helpful
• Schedule: Full or part time, Monday to Friday, 9:00 am - 3:00 pm

Responsibilities

• Prepares, presents and serves food as needed.
• Washes, peels, cuts and seeds fruits and vegetables as part of prep work.
• Weighs and measures designated ingredients.
• Carries pans, kettles and trays of food to and from work stations, stove and refrigerator with safety in mind.
• Stores food following wrapping, dating, food safety and rotation procedures.
• Cleans work areas, equipment and utensils.
• Distributes supplies, utensils and portable equipment.
• Uses approved recipes and production standards to ensure quality and portion control.
• Serves customers in a friendly, efficient manner and follows steps of service.
• Resolves customer concerns and relays information to supervisor.
• Complies with service standards, inventory and cash control procedures.
• Assures compliance with sanitation and safety requirements.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
