Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous institutional food service or restaurant experience preferred.
• Must complete orientation before school placement.
• Live and work with a permanent home address in Colorado.
• Able to meet the physical demands of the position.

Responsibilities

• Prepares or assists in the preparation of a variety of foods in accordance with food and safety standards.
• Washes, cuts, cooks and/or re-heats food items, weighing and measuring ingredients, according to recipes and instructions.
• Sets up serving lines and serves meal or meal components.
• Communicates with students and school staff when serving food items.
• Operates cash register, accepting money and making change for food and beverages served.
• Cleans and sanitizes dishes, kitchen utensils, equipment and facilities in accordance with approved housekeeping and safety practices.
• Operates kitchen equipment.
• Stocks and organizes food items and kitchen supplies; stores food and supplies in accordance with HACCP.
• Follows approved housekeeping and safety practices to ensure safe conditions.
