Job summary

Chartwells K12 in Weston, CT is hiring immediately for a part-time Food Service Worker at Weston Public Schools (24 School Road, Weston, CT 06883). The schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:00 am–3:00 pm, with no nights or weekends.

Responsibilities include food prep, serving meals, and maintaining safety standards on a school-based dining program. The fixed pay rate is $17.00 per hour, with an internal employee referral bonus available.

Qualifications

• Culinary/Hospitality a plus.
• Team player required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares, presents and serves food as needed.
• Performs prep work such as washing, peeling, cutting and seeding fruits and vegetables.
• Weighs and measures designated ingredients.
• Cleans work areas, equipment and utensils.
• Stores food in designated areas following wrapping, dating, food safety and rotation procedures.
• Distributes supplies, utensils and portable equipment.
• Utilizes approved food recipes and production standards to ensure proper quality, serving temperatures and standard portion control.
• Serves customers in a friendly, efficient manner following outlined steps of service.
