Job summary

Chartwells K-12 is hiring a part-time FOOD SERVICE WORKER/CASHIER for Wethersfield Public Schools, CT. Schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:30 am to 1:30 pm. Prior food service experience preferred. Training is provided; no nights or weekends. Pay range: $16.95–$17.50 per hour. Applications accepted online only.

Qualifications

• Prior food service and cooking experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs prep work such as washing, peeling, cutting and seeding fruits and vegetables.
• Carries pans, kettles and trays of food to and from work stations, stove and refrigerator in accordance with safety standards.
• Stores foods in designated areas in accordance with wrapping, dating, and food safety and rotation procedures.
• Cleans work areas, equipment and utensils.
• Performs sales transactions and enters sales into the cash register.
