Job summary

Chartwells K-12 in Holly, MI is hiring a Food Service Worker for a full-time, Monday–Friday shift from 7:00 am to 2:30 pm at Holly Area Schools. Prior food service experience is preferred, and training is provided.

The role involves preparing, presenting and serving meals, maintaining safety and sanitation standards, and delivering friendly customer service in a school dining environment. The compensation is $15.00 per hour with an internal referral bonus.

Qualifications

• Prior food service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares, presents and serves food as needed.
• Performs prep work: washing, peeling, cutting and seeding fruits and vegetables.
• Weights and measures designated ingredients.
• Carries pans, kettles and trays of food to and from work stations, stove and refrigerator in accordance with safety standards.
• Stores food in designated areas following wrapping, dating, food safety and rotation procedures.
• Cleans work areas, equipment and utensils.
• Distributes supplies, utensils and portable equipment.
• Utilizes approved food recipes and production standards to ensure proper quality, serving temperatures and standard portion control.
• Serves customers in a friendly, efficient manner.
• Ensures compliance with sanitation and safety requirements.
