Pittsburgh Public Schools is seeking a Food Service Worker to help prepare and serve meals in school kitchens. Duties include following federal, state, and local guidelines for safety and sanitation, with opportunities primarily part-time and some full-time roles.

Locations include several Pittsburgh-area schools, scheduled from morning through early afternoon. 10-month term with emphasis on customer service and meal accountability.

Qualifications

• Experience in food service is preferred.
• Commitment to safety and sanitation.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve meals to students in central or full-service kitchens following USDA/PDE/health guidelines.
• Maintain safety and sanitation in serving areas and kitchens.
• Adhere to time clock and shift schedules; assist in daily production.
• Record temperatures, production counts and waste as required.
