Job summary

North Marion School District 15 is seeking a dependable Food Service Assistant I to support daily kitchen operations and serve nutritious meals to students at the Intermediate School in Aurora, Oregon.

The successful candidate will follow food safety standards, work well in a team, and help create a welcoming cafeteria environment for students. This is a full-time, on-site position with opportunities to contribute to meal planning and documentation.

Qualifications

• Proven food safety and sanitation knowledge.
• Clear, effective communication with students and staff.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook, and serve meals per menus and portion guidelines.
• Set up serving lines and replenish food during service.
• Follow USDA/state/district nutrition and food safety rules.
• Keep kitchen and serving areas clean and sanitary.
• Handle dishes, equipment, and prep surfaces safely.
• Operate and clean kitchen equipment as required.
• Record production data and meal counts as needed.
• Support meal modifications for students with allergies or medical needs.
