Job summary

GWRSD & Middleton School Districts is seeking a Food Service Assistant Substitute to support all district schools. No experience is required, and candidates should be prepared for busy meal service periods in a school setting.

The role includes serving meals, replenishing supplies, cleaning duties in cafeteria areas, handling food storage and disposal, and assisting with various food service tasks as directed by the Director of Food Service or Site Coordinator.

Responsibilities

• Serving nutritious meals in a quick and pleasant manner.
• Assume responsibility for seeing that during meal service periods the supplies of food offered are replenished regularly.
• Assist in the clean up of the kitchen, serving areas and cafeteria.
• Assume responsibility for the storage and disposal of unused food.
• Frequent physical effort demanded in walking and standing. Lifting of up to 50 pounds required.
• May be expected to perform various food service tasks as directed by the Director of Food Service and/or Site Coordinator.
• Perform general cleaning duties in cafeteria and may be called upon to set up tables in dining room.
• Interact with students, staff, and colleagues in a pleasant manner.
