Job summary

Metz Culinary Management / Nutri-Serve Food Management in Brigantine, NJ is seeking a Food Service Worker to prepare and serve nutritious meals for students in a friendly, efficient cafeteria.

You will assist in meal preparation, serving, setup, and lightweight cleanup, maintain accurate paperwork, and work as a TEAM to deliver quality service.

This role requires reliability, the ability to follow instructions, and a friendly attitude toward students; weekend availability may be needed.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service skills and a positive approach.
• Patience and the ability to maintain a caring attitude towards children.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Ability to interact successfully with customers and Nutri-Serve employees.
• Knowledge of food preparation, a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assists in the preparation of meals and the setup of the cafeteria.
• Serves nutritious, attractive meals in a friendly manner.
• Completes general housekeeping duties to maintain the cleanliness of the cafeteria.
• Completes records, paperwork and other administrative tasks in an accurate and timely manner.
• Assists in the inventorying and ordering process with the Kitchen Manager and complete order forms on a daily basis.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
