Job summary

Chartwells K12 in Tahlequah, OK is hiring immediately for a part-time Food Service Worker to support Heritage Elementary. Schedule: 1:00 pm to 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday. Online applications accepted only.

The role involves meal preparation, serving, and maintaining safety and sanitation standards in a school dining hall. A valid food handler’s certification within 30 days of hire is required. Training is provided.

Qualifications

• A prior food handler's certification within 30 days of hire.
• Experience in food service is preferred.
• Ability to stand for long periods and work in a school dining environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepares, presents and serves food as needed.
• Performs prep work such as washing, peeling, cutting and seeding fruits and vegetables.
• Carries pans, kettles and trays of food to and from work stations, stove and refrigerator in accordance with safety standards.
• Cleans work areas, equipment and utensils.
• Serves customers in a friendly, efficient manner following steps of service.
