Qualifications

• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 45 pounds.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Wash and sanitize cafeteria trays, kitchenware, pots and pans while maintaining school nutrition standards.
• As needed, help serve breakfast and lunch to students, staff, and visitors in a friendly and efficient manner.
• As needed, help operate kitchen equipment safely, including ovens, steamers, mixers, and dishwashers.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen, serving lines, dining areas, and food preparation equipment.
• Wash dishes, utensils, trays, and kitchen equipment.
• Receive, inspect, and properly store food deliveries and supplies.
• Follow all local, state, and federal food safety and sanitation regulations.
• Monitor food temperatures and maintain proper food handling procedures.
• Assist with inventory control and notify director when supplies are low, as needed.
• Dispose of waste and recycling according to school procedures.
• Work collaboratively with cafeteria staff, school administrators, and students to provide excellent customer service.
• Assist in setting up and tearing down service area.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by the Food Service Director or Administration
