Job summary

Chartwells K-12 is hiring immediately for full-time and part-time cook positions at Higley Unified School District, 2935 South Recker Road, Gilbert, AZ 85295. These roles involve preparing food to standards, serving meals, and ensuring safe, high-quality dining in a school setting.

You may be trained on site with uniforms, paid holidays and sick time, and shift meals. Prior food service experience is preferred; hours follow the school calendar and vary by interview.

Qualifications

• Prior food service experience preferred.
• Ability to follow standardized recipes and HACCP food safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepares high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions to meet production, delivery and service schedules.
• Serves meals or prepares for delivery by using correct portioning, meeting standards, ensuring correct temperatures and appealing presentation.
• Maintains cleanliness by cleaning kitchen after preparation and serving; stores or discards excess food per safety rules.
• Keeps refrigerators and storerooms clean and organized; ensures proper storage of food and supplies.
• Operates and maintains kitchen equipment as instructed; assists in production planning and record keeping.
• Assists with ordering/receiving of food and supplies; reports maintenance or safety issues to supervisor.
