Qualifications

• High School diploma.
• Previous school food service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare assigned breakfast and lunch meals.
• Follow established recipes to ensure quality, portion and nutritional requirements.
• Serve attractive, well presented and portion controlled menu items in a friendly manner.
• Follow sanitation and food safety practices.
• Attend sanitation and refresher courses as required.
• Complete training on safety requirements in all kitchen areas.
• Perform cashiering, baking, dish room, inventory control and other kitchen duties as assigned.
• Follow directions from cafeteria management with limited supervision.
• Lift or move objects up to 50 pounds.
• Work in a noisy kitchen with fluctuating temperatures and exposure to steam, fumes, and odors.
• Operate and clean kitchen equipment and hood systems.
• Follow dress code: approved uniform and slip-resistant shoes.
