Job summary

Southbridge Public Schools’ Southbridge Middle School in Southbridge, Massachusetts is seeking a part-time Cashier-Food Service for the cafeteria. Immediate start. You will assist in food prep, serve meals in proper portions, and provide friendly service to students and staff.

This role requires standing for long periods and lifting light to moderate loads. Prior cafeteria or food service experience is preferred. Citizenship/residency or work visa is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience in cafeteria or food service preferred.
• Ability to stand for long periods and perform light lifting.

Responsibilities

• Assists in the preparation and serving of food items according to departmental policies and procedures.
• Serves food in proper pre-determined portion sizes.
• Provides services to cafeteria customers in a friendly and efficient manner.
• Operates dish machine.
• Cleans food production area, serving area and sitting area during and after meal service.
• Performs other related duties as required.
