Job summary

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook and serve meals, salads and a la carte items according to recipes.
• Serve as cashier to collect money and record sales via POS system.
• Process money exchanges and assist in deposit preparation.
• Participate in training on federally reimbursable meals and serving-line identification.
• Read and follow standardized recipes for school cafeteria preparation.
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness per sanitation codes and schedules.
• Perform housekeeping tasks such as cleaning tables, floors and dining areas.
• Comply with Wake County Public School System nutrition handbook policies.
• Provide effective communication and customer service to students, parents and staff.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
