Job summary

Allendale Public Schools is hiring School Bus/Van Drivers and a Substitute Bus Driver to transport students safely on daily routes and field trips. Starting wage is $23.14 per hour for bus driving, with other routes and trips available based on the Transportation Agreement Wage Scale.

Applicants must hold a Michigan CDL-B with S&P Endorsements, have a safe driving record, pass background checks and training, and be able to read maps and communicate with students.

Qualifications

• Valid Michigan CDL-B with S&P Endorsements (School Bus, Passenger & Air Brake).
• Safe driving record.
• Ability to read and interpret maps.

Responsibilities

• Drives a school bus safely according to schedules, transporting students to/from homes and campuses.
• Oversees loading/unloading and maintains order and discipline on the bus.
• Conducts daily safety and operational inspections and reports needed repairs.
