NORTHEAST TECHNOLOGY CENTER is seeking a Substitute Bus Driver assigned to the Afton campus. This 10‑month, non‑exempt position reports to the Maintenance Supervisor and requires daily routes Mon–Fri with variable hours.

Wage is $33.80 per hour, with potential evenings and weekend adjustments as needed. Applicants must meet Oklahoma driver requirements, pass background checks, and maintain required health certifications.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Current valid Oklahoma School Bus Driving Certificate and a commercial driver's license (air brake endorsement preferred).
• Completion of a school bus driver course and possession of a valid, current Oklahoma CDL.
• Valid driver’s certificate meeting Oklahoma State Department of Education requirements.

Responsibilities

• Drive a school bus and safely transport students to and from Northeast Technology Center and partner high schools up to three times per day.
• Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip bus inspections following state guidelines.
• Maintain order and ensure compliance with state and federal transportation regulations; keep the bus clean.
• Conduct bus evacuation drills as required by state law.
• Attend safety training and professional development as needed.
• Perform additional bus- and route-related duties as assigned by Supervisor or Superintendent.
