Qualifications

• Must be able to pass the required NYS Education Department Physical Performance Test, which includes dragging a 125 lb. bag 30 feet in 30 seconds.
• Able to get along well with school-aged children.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining order on and around school buses.
• Intervenes in confrontations and student fights, if necessary.
• Escorts students to and from special appointments.
• Monitors students in parking lots and supervises loading of buses.
• Assists in rendering first aid in emergencies.
• Informs superiors of observations of student behavior.
