Job summary

Burnet CISD Transportation is seeking a Transportation Aide to ride buses and assist the bus driver to ensure safe and orderly transportation for students. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, a Texas driver’s license, First Aid and CPI certifications, and you must be at least 18 years old.

You will assist students with entering and exiting buses, including those with disabilities, and help maintain safety on routes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid Texas driver’s license required.
• First Aid Certificate required.
• CPI Certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assist the driver in maintaining safe conditions on the bus.
• Help students on and off the bus, including those with disabilities.
• Supervise students boarding/exiting and crossing the street following safety procedures.
• Escort students to the building and deliver to their destination.
• Learn each student’s medical, physical, communicative, and emotional needs.
