Job summary

Beaufort County School District is seeking a School Bus Monitor to assist the bus driver with student discipline, loading/unloading, and seating while the bus is in operation. You will help document student information and ensure safety equipment are secured, coordinating with teachers and parents as needed.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver's license, and relevant experience. It is a full-time position within the Transportation Department in Beaufort, SC.

Responsibilities

• Assist bus driver in maintaining discipline while bus is in operation.
• Assist with loading/unloading and seating as required.
• Document student information and route surveys with the driver.
• Ensure seat belts and safety equipment are secured as required.
• Communicate with teachers, principals, and parents as appropriate.
