Job summary

The Community Group in Lawrence, MA seeks a Bus Monitor to help ensure the safety and well-being of children during daily rides to and from day care or school. You will ride with children, secure them in car seats or seat belts, and help maintain a calm, friendly trip experience.

The role requires experience with school‑aged children, the ability to communicate effectively in English and Spanish, and reliable completion of CORI/SORI and fingerprint checks as required.

Qualifications

• Experience working with school-aged children.
• Ability to communicate in English and Spanish effectively.
• Completed CORI/SORI and fingerprint scan as per regulations (EECC).

Responsibilities

• Ride with children each day to and from day care or school, ensuring safety and seat belt use.
• Maintain a written bus route and update it as needed.
• Account for each child on board and verify attendance.
• Maintain confidentiality and report any concerns to the Program Director.
• Participate in trainings and complete required certifications.
