Bayfield School District is seeking a substitute Bus Route Driver to provide safe transportation for students in the Southwest Colorado region. The role requires a CDL Class B with applicable endorsements; training may be provided where needed.

Qualifications

• CDL Class B with Air Brakes, Passenger and School Bus endorsements required or training provided.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Must be 21+ years old with clean driving record.
• Must pass DOT physical and safety tests as required.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily pre/post trip safety inspections and report defects to the Transportation Director.
• Maintain bus cleanliness and safe driving practices at all times.
• Observe traffic laws and mandatory safety regulations for school buses.
• Enforce bus rules and ensure student safety and discipline as needed.
• Complete required reports for accidents, maintenance, and student issues.
