Shelton School District is seeking a substitute School Bus Driver to transport students on scheduled routes under various weather conditions. The role requires CDL Class B with a School Bus and Passenger endorsement and the ability to pass a background check.

The position offers an hourly wage of $18.00–$22.15 and eligibility for fringe benefits under the district’s bargaining agreement. This is a substitute role with no guaranteed hours for the 2026-2027 year.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 21 years.
• Valid Washington State School Bus Driver's Certificate.
• Valid Washington State Driver License with endorsement; upload to application.
• CDL Class B with School Bus and Passenger endorsements.
• Ability to pass a federal background check.

Responsibilities

• Operate a school bus on a scheduled route.
• Maintain control of student passengers to ensure safety.
• Complete required forms, records, and reports per policy.
• Perform bus safety inspections and basic first aid when needed.
• Attend trainings and perform other duties as assigned.
