Job summary

Rehbein Transit Inc. is seeking a dedicated School Bus Route Driver to transport students along designated routes in Minnesota. You will ensure safe arrivals, assist passengers, and provide friendly customer service while following district policies and safety procedures.

A valid driver's license with a clean record is required; CDL training can be provided. Prior school bus experience is preferred but not required, and you may join a supportive team committed to safety and service.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Experience in school bus driving preferred, but not necessary.
• Basic mechanical understanding to perform pre-trip inspections.
• Ability to communicate clearly in English; multilingual skills are a plus.
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly demeanor.
• Ability to write reports and maintain accurate records.
• Must be able to pass background checks as required by company policies.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a vehicle along assigned routes.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.
• Assist passengers, including children and those with disabilities, during boarding and disembarking.
• Maintain accurate records of passenger counts, mileage, and any incidents that occur during the route.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding route changes or passenger needs.
• Provide exceptional customer service to all passengers, addressing any questions or concerns they may have.
• Ensure compliance with all traffic laws and regulations while driving.
