Job summary

Nicholas County Board of Education is seeking a Bus Operator to transport students between home schools and the Career and Technical Center, following state and district policies.

The role requires a WV CDL with passenger and school bus endorsements, CPR/First Aid, and compliance with safety programs. Work hours are Monday through Friday, about 3.5 hours daily, with pay per the district scale. This position is non-exempt and reports to Transportation leadership.

Qualifications

• WV State policies govern eligibility and duties.

Responsibilities

• Operate school buses and transportation vehicles as required by policy.
• Maintain regular attendance and safety during routes.
• Assist students and supervise bus operations to ensure safety and order.
• Perform pre/post inspections and report mechanical issues promptly.
• Complete required paperwork within timelines.
