Job summary

The Princeton Independent School District is seeking a dedicated Bus Driver to transport students on designated routes with safety and reliability as top priorities.

You will operate school buses, perform pre- and post-trip inspections, manage student behavior, and coordinate with the Transportation Department to ensure on-time arrivals to all activities. Valid Texas CDL with P and S endorsements and ability to pass DOT tests are required.

Qualifications

• Must hold Texas commercial driver’s license with P and S endorsements.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to pass DOT drug/alcohol tests and annual physical.
• Ability to complete bus safety training and follow routes.
• Ability to use GPS to follow routes and locate addresses.
• Ability to manage student behavior and communicate effectively.
• Ability to operate a school bus safely.

Responsibilities

• Drive daily on assigned routes and adhere to schedules.
• Transport students to extracurricular activities.
• Adjust to traffic, weather, and schedule changes to ensure safety.
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections and report needed repairs.
• Report accidents, damages, injuries, and mechanical problems.
