Job summary

Mason County Schools is seeking a School Bus Operator for the South Point Run (001-065-I). The role involves operating a school bus and related vehicles, performing pre/post trip inspections, learning routes, assisting students with disabilities, and maintaining safety and documentation for daily trips to the Autism Service Center in South Point, Ohio.

The position is 200 days annually, non-exempt, with pay commensurate with experience and WV state salary scales and policies.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent per WV Code §18A-2-5.
• Criminal background check as per WV Code §18-5-15c.
• Must obtain and maintain WV CDL license with passenger and school bus endorsements.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre/post trip inspections.
• Learn route locations and schedules.
• Safely operate school buses and assist students with disabilities.
• Complete necessary paperwork and communicate with school staff.
• Work overtime as needed.
