Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to lift up to 85 lbs.
• Ability to push/pull up to 55 lbs.
• Must be able to pass a physical abilities test.
• Must hold or be eligible to obtain licensure to drive a school bus.

Responsibilities

• Uses hand tools and power tools to perform maintenance and repairs.
• Inspects brake systems, steering, and wheel bearings for proper operation.
• Performs routine maintenance like oil changes, battery checks, and lubrication.
• Completes state inspections of district vehicles.
• Repairs engines, electrical systems, brakes, and related components within certification scope.
