Job summary

Centennial School District is seeking a Bus Mechanic I to perform mechanical maintenance on district buses and other vehicles. The role requires 3-5 years of hands-on repair experience, ASE certification, and the ability to obtain a Class A CDL within two years of hire.

This is a full-time, year-round position with a pay range near $30.99 per hour. Responsibilities include diagnosing and repairing engines, transmissions, brakes, electrical systems, and other critical components.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years prior experience in repair and maintenance of buses, trucks, and other automotive equipment.
• ASE Automotive Service Excellence certified. New hires must obtain this certification within two years of hire.
• Must obtain a Class A CDL within two years of hire.

Responsibilities

• Inspects, diagnoses and completes repairs of mechanical defects in buses, automobiles, trucks and other mechanical equipment.
• Performs maintenance on engine, transmission, suspension, brakes, electrical, and cooling systems.
• Provides emergency road service and repairs to disabled district vehicles as required.
• Maintains inventory control and prepares maintenance reports and records.
• Promotes safety and good housekeeping in the automotive shop.
