Job summary

Young World Physical Education is hiring a full-time Mechanic for Tazewell County Public Schools Transportation. This role involves the repair, inspection, and maintenance of school buses and vehicles.

The ideal candidate should have a high-school diploma, valid Virginia Commercial Driver's License, and ASE endorsement as Master School Bus Technician. Diesel mechanic training is preferred. This position ensures student safety while adhering to state requirements.

Qualifications

• Must have ASE endorsement as Master School Bus Technician or be actively pursuing it.
• Demonstrated experience as a journeyman automobile and/or truck fleet mechanic.
• Annual certification as an inspection mechanic by the Virginia Department of State Police.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and maintain school buses and vehicles.
• Repair or replace mechanical units and parts.
• Ensure safety protocols and compliance with school policies.
