Job summary

Qualifications

• Five (5) years mechanic experience required.
• Must possess an Arizona commercial driver’s license.
• Fingerprint Clearance Card (IVP) required at the time of hiring.

Responsibilities

• Assist Mechanic with preventative maintenance and repairs on school buses.
• Perform state inspection of school buses.
• Maintains records of inspections, maintenance and repair on all vehicles.

Skills

Knowledge of school bus, vehicle and maintenance equipment repair methods

Skill in diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical and exhaust problems

Ability to follow oral and written instructions

Skill in establishing effective working relationships

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent
