Job summary

Summit School Services is seeking a Fleet Technician II to diagnose and repair medium/heavy-duty school bus fleets, ensuring routes depart on time. You will work on brakes, steering, drivetrains, electrical, HVAC, and other systems, balancing quality repairs with uptime. CDL is preferred; you will be encouraged to obtain one through company training.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years of light/medium/heavy-duty mechanic repair experience.
• Must be able to read, write and communicate effectively in English.
• Experience with diesel equipment is required; gasoline systems familiarity is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair automotive and diesel systems per skill level.
• Perform engine adjustments, rebuilds, and test drives.
• Complete safety inspections and sign-offs before releasing vehicles.
• Maintain organized, compliant workspace following standards.
• Log labor hours, parts used, and completed work accurately.
• Respond to road calls and perform mobile repairs when needed.
• Model professionalism and teamwork in all tasks.
