Job summary

Parma City School District Transportation in Cleveland, OH is seeking School Bus Drivers to operate school buses and transport students under the supervision of the Transportation department.

Starting hourly rate is $25.09 with a 4.5 hour minimum work schedule and eligibility for benefits after the initial period. A sign-on bonus up to $3,000 may be offered for staying on for 260 work days.

Qualifications

• CDL Class B with Passenger and School Bus endorsement preferred or training provided.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• No more than 2 points on driving record.
• Annual physical.
• Complete pre-service and yearly in-service training.
• Subject to Federal Drug and Alcohol testing.
• Must be able to speak and print simple sentences.
• Physically capable of lifting and assisting students.
• Maintain good attendance.

Reports to: Supervisor of Transportation

Salary: $25.09 startinghourly rate

Sign on bonus*

Work Schedule: 4.5 minimum guaranteed hours

Eligible for insurance benefits(single or family based on contractual hours) on the first day of the following month after hire date.

Must also complete a Civil Service application at the Parma Civil Service Commission Office, 6617 Ridge Road, Parma, OH 44129, [phone].

Qualifications

• Current Class "B" Commercial Drivers License (CDL).with Passenger and School Bus endorsement preferred or will provide training to the appropiate applicant
• Must have high school diploma or GED.
• Have no more than 2 points on current driving record (abstract).
• Complete annual physical.
• Complete Pre-Service and yearly in-service training requirements.
• Subject to Federal Drug and Alcohol testing requirements.
• Must have ability to speak and print simple sentences.
• Physically capable of lifting and managing special needs students when necessary.
• Maintain good attendance.

* Up to $3000.00 if candidate stays for 260 work days
