Job summary

Student Transportation Inc. is seeking a part-time school bus driver for a split shift, Monday through Friday. Starting pay is $23.69 per hour with an updated rate of $24.40 starting September 1, 2026, in Wolcott, CT.

The role involves safe operation of a school bus, pre- and post-trip inspections, safety meetings, and occasional field trips with students. Responsibilities include picking up and dropping off students at stops, maintaining a professional appearance, and participating in safety

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years or older.
• Minimum 3 years verifiable driving history.
• Clean driving record for the last 36 months.
• Ability and willingness to obtain a CDL.
• Pass pre-employment background checks.

• Drive a school bus route - picking up and dropping off student passengers at established stops on the route.
• Conduct pre-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safe operation.
• Conduct post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Attend and participate in monthly safety meetings.
• Clean bus as necessary to maintain a professional appearance and positive company image.
• As requested or desired to take field trips, activity trips and charter runs to transport students and other passengers to and from their destinations.

Qualifications:

• Must be 21 years or older
