• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 5 years driving experience in a passenger vehicle.
• Possess all valid state licenses and other required certifications to operate company vehicles (state varies).
• Possess all valid state licenses and required certifications to train and evaluate school bus drivers (state varies).
• Thorough knowledge of state and federal regulations related to student transportation.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational and record-keeping abilities.

• Provide ongoing training and performance evaluations for all driver employees.
• Administer and maintain Company random drug/alcohol testing and pre-employment drug/alcohol testing program in conjunction with the corporate office.
• Develop and conduct regularly scheduled driver safety meetings.
• Respond to personal injury and vehicle accidents by on-scene investigation and submitting reports to the corporate office.
• Investigate customer service complaints relative to safety issues and take corrective action.
• Drive a school bus on designated routes.

Zum is seeking a skilled and experienced Driver Trainer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for training new and existing bus drivers, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations, and maintaining a safe transportation environment for our students.

Key Responsibilities:

• Proactively recruit individuals to apply and train them to become School Bus Drivers
• Provide classroom instruction and behind the wheel training of applicants and bus drivers to ensure successful completion of training and testing; recommend upgrades as necessary
• Provide ongoing training and performance evaluations for all driver employees
• Administer and maintain Company random drug/alcohol testing and pre-employment drug/alcohol testing program in conjunction with the corporate office

• Assume primary responsibility in responding to personal injury and vehicle accidents by on-scene investigation and preparing and submitting reports to the corporate office in accordance with Company policy.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 5 years driving experience in a passenger vehicle (WAC 392-144-101)
• Possessall valid applicable state licenses and other required certifications to operate company vehicles (requirements vary by state)
• Possessall valid applicable state licenses and other required certifications to train and evaluate school bus driver (requirements vary by state)
• Thorough knowledge of state and federal regulations related to student transportation
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational and record-keeping abilities

Required Licenses/Certifications:

• Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Passenger (P) and School Bus (S)endorsement
• State based trainer certification (requirements based on state)
• First Aid/CPRCertification (preferred)
