Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• Ability to obtain CDL and DPS certification within 90 days of employment.
• Ability to obtain a valid IV Fingerprint Clearance Card within 45 work days of initial start date.
• Obtain certification in First Aid/CPR.

Responsibilities

• Train to transport students on scheduled routes and field trips in a safe manner.
• Develop communication with parents, students, teachers, and staff.
• Assist the bus driver and learn to operate district buses for student transportation.
• Perform pre-trip inspections and ensure vehicle safety.
• Maintain vehicle interiors and exteriors to ensure safety and sanitation.
• Assist in supervising students to maintain order during transit.
• Complete required incident and mileage documentation.
