The Copper Country Intermediate School District has immediate openings for School Bus Drivers with route options in Houghton, Baraga, or Keweenaw counties. Whether you prefer mornings, afternoons, or full-time work, we have a spot for you.

What We Offer

• $17.00 or more per hour starting pay (based on experience) plus $3.00 per hour while driving

What You Will Do

• Safely transport students in various weather and traffic conditions
• Perform daily vehicle inspections
• Maintain a clean bus environment
• Create a safe, welcoming environment for all students, including those with special needs
• Collaborate with a team of drivers, aides, and school staff

What We Are Looking For

• At least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent
• Valid CDL (A or B) with Passenger and School Bus endorsements, or willingness to obtain
• Ability to pass a physical and drug test
• Clean driving record and friendly attitude towards children
• Ability to complete background checks and fingerprinting
• Willingness to obtain Michigan Bus Driver Certification (training provided)
• Willingness to obtain CPI Certification in de-escalation and restraint techniques (training provided)
