New Branches Charter Academy, located in Grand Rapids, MI, seeks a dependable school bus driver to transport students on time while upholding safety and conduct standards. The role includes loading/unloading supervision, communicating with staff and parents, and maintaining clean, safe vehicles.

The driver will follow routes, monitor student well-being during transit, document mileage and scheduling, and assist with transportation policy development as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Meet all requirements established by the Department of Transportation and Michigan Department of Education.
• Valid driver's license with necessary endorsements.

Responsabilités

• Safely operates a school bus on schedule, transporting students to/from home, school sites, and field trips.
• Supervises loading/unloading and ensures seat belt use; releases students to authorized individuals.
• Maintains order among passengers and documents serious disciplinary incidents.
• Conducts accident investigations as needed.
• Keeps bus clean, reports mechanical issues, and maintains fuel/oil levels.
