Childcare Bus Driver

Highview Learning Center is a licensed childcare center seeking a Bus Driver! This is an exciting opportunity for a self-motivated, energetic candidate who is passionate about early childhood education.

To be QUALIFIED for this position, we require a high school diploma or GED, valid CDL B driver's license, and the ability to pass all background checks. Must be 2-3 years of age or older. A plus if you have previous childcare experience!

Required Shift: Monday - Friday, SPLIT SHIFT 7am - 9am AND 2:30pm - 4:30pm

Compensation: $18-25/hr, based on education and experience.

Our Hiring Process:

  1. Resume screen
  2. Phone screen with recruiter (30 minutes)
  3. On-site interview with Center Director (30-45 minutes)
  4. Offer

Main Job Responsibilities:

  • Transport children daily while following state and health regulations.
  • Follow proper protocol and submit required paperwork to Director in a timely manner.
  • Communicate effectively with parents both written and verbally.
  • Support coordinating field trips and communicate logistics, procedures, and expectations to administration, teachers, and parents.
  • Mentor and train substitute Bus drivers to cover absences.
  • Maintain the vehicle according to state regulations.
  • Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe bus.
  • Physical ability to work around small children, including sitting, standing, walking, running, and climbing stairs.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs. and fulfill all physical requirements of the role.
