Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency required.
• Possesses a valid Oklahoma Driver's License and clean driving record.
• Skills in operating a school bus and passing a performance test.
• Knowledge of laws, district policies and procedures.
• Able to maintain discipline and follow oral and written instructions.
• Must meet physical and essential duties for the position.

Responsibilities

• Obeys all traffic laws and safety regulations for school buses.
• Maintains discipline when students are on bus.
• Follows district and transportation discipline procedures.
• Provides written reports on a Bus Conduct Form the day of the infraction.
• Notifies transportation personnel regarding inappropriate student behavior or delays.
• Performs pre-trip inspection daily and reports issues.
• Runs the route as scheduled with stops and times; adjusts as needed.
• Transports only authorized riders and maintains a safe environment.
