Job summary

New Waverly Independent School District is seeking a Bus Driver to operate school buses on assigned routes in New Waverly, TX. You will ensure safe, orderly transportation for students and authorized persons, following schedules and district safety rules.

The role requires a Texas CDL with P&S endorsements, a Texas School Bus Driver Certificate, CPR/First Aid certifications, and a clean driving record. Training includes safety protocols and GPS route navigation.

Qualifications

• Clear and valid Texas commercial driver’s license with Passenger (P) and School Bus (S) endorsements.
• Valid Texas School Bus Driver Certificate.
• Good Driving Record.
• CPR and First Aid certifications required.
• Must be 18 years or older and pass DOT tests.

Responsibilities

• Drive bus daily on assigned route following schedules.
• Supervise students during boarding, riding, and exiting.
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections and report needed repairs.
• Maintain safety protocols and proper use of emergency equipment.
• Complete and maintain accurate route and attendance records.

Texas CDL with P&S endorsements
