Qualifications

• Ability to deal with the public and students courteously; respond in emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Operate the bus safely and ensure passenger safety at all times.
• State the route on time and drive at safe speeds to arrive at school on time.
• Do not alter routes without Transportation Director authorization.
• Perform pre-trip inspections and post-route student checks.
• Keep students informed of rules; maintain discipline on the bus.
• Keep the bus clean and secure; ensure parking brake is engaged when off bus.
• Wear seat belt at all times and monitor entrances/exits at stops.
• Only release students at approved stops or with written authorization.
• Do not move the bus until all passengers are seated and facing forward.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
