Navarro ISD in Texas is seeking a School Bus Driver to transport students safely to and from school and activities. This vital role requires strict adherence to state, federal, and local laws and district policies and procedures.

Responsibilities include pre/post-trip inspections, supervising students, maintaining discipline, and coordinating with staff while operating the bus and bus radio equipment.

Qualifications

• Valid Texas CDL Class B with School Bus and Passenger endorsements or the ability to obtain.
• Valid School Bus Driver Certification Card or the ability to obtain.
• Able to pass DOT drug/alcohol tests and annual physical.
• Acceptable driving record and background check (fingerprinting).
• Must be 18 years of age.

Responsabilités

• Drive daily on assigned route following schedules.
• Drive bus to and from extracurricular activities.
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections and keep bus clean.
• Report accidents, vehicle damage, injuries, and mechanical issues.
• Instruct and supervise students on safety and behavior.
• Observe traffic laws and district safety procedures.
• Attend trainings and safety meetings.
• Operate two-way radio and related equipment.
