Qualifications

• Obtain Class D License with F (For-Hire-Endorsement).
• Follow safety procedures for vehicle operation.
• Drive passenger vehicles.
• Record operational details of travel.
• Maintain professional knowledge or certifications.
• Notify others of emergencies, problems, or hazards.
• Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification.
• Must clear full background check and health screening.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety rules as students board and exit buses.
• Comply with traffic regulations to operate vehicles safely and courteously.
• Check tires, brakes, lights, oil, fuel, water, and safety equipment.
• Maintain order among pupils during trips for safety.
• Pick up and drop off students at designated facilities on schedule.
• Report bus malfunctions or needed repairs.
• Prepare and submit travel reports including passengers, trips, hours, mileage, fuel, fares.
• Keep knowledge of first-aid procedures up to date.
• Keep bus interiors clean and comfortable for passengers.
• Regulate heating, lighting, and ventilation for passenger comfort.
• Follow all center policies and state regulations.
• Maintain personal professional development plan for quality improvement.
