Job Description

Easterseals of Southeastern Pennsylvania seeks an energetic School Bus Driver for our Transportation department. This full-time position is available to transport preschool children with special needs to and from our school locations. The Bus Driver position involves Monday through Friday for scheduled days of programs during the school year plus a 6-week summer program.

Responsibilities:

1. Ensuring pre-school aged students with disabilities are transported safely to and from their school program and adhering to all required guidelines.
2. The ability to build rapport and trust with the students is very important.
3. Pre-inspection of buses (exterior, interior, engine, brakes, etc.), sanitizing buses, and remaining in communication with the Transportation Coordinator and Bus Attendant.

The Bus Driver schedule involves the morning, mid-day, and afternoon bus runs totaling 28.5 hours per week.

Qualifications

• High School diploma/GED required.
• Bus Driver: Current PA CDL with S & P endorsements are required.
• Applicants are required to pass Easterseals and Philadelphia School District required clearances, pre-employment drug testing and alcohol screening.
