Job summary

Voyageur Bus is hiring School Bus Route Drivers to support daily routes, field trips, and special transportation needs in Duluth. We offer paid CDL training with on-site testing and a company-funded profit sharing program. This part-time role provides flexible AM/PM shifts and opportunities for weekend work.

Prior driving experience isn’t required—training is provided. We value reliability, customer service, and a safety-first mindset, with overtime options and a supportive team culture.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 18 and valid U.S. driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to pass background checks, drug test, and DOT physical.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented mindset.
• No experience required—we train the right people.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport students and passengers on assigned routes, field trips, and charter events.
• Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Assist passengers during boarding and unloading, including students and individuals with special needs.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and professional vehicle environment.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch and team members.
• Provide excellent customer service to students, staff, and passengers.
• Follow all DOT regulations, traffic laws, and company safety procedures.
