Responsibilities include safe bus operation, pre/post-trip inspections, route adherence, and documentation of mileage and student counts. Requires CDL with endorsements, Arizona State Certification, CPR/First Aid, and DOT medical clearance.

Qualifications

• Safe operation of a school bus, obeying traffic laws, and performing pre/post-trip inspections.
• Maintain a disciplined, safe and clean bus environment for students and passengers.
• Maintain routes by following the route schedule and transporting only authorized passengers.
• Keep documentation for student counts, mileage and bus condition up to date.
• Notify the mechanic and director of needed repairs or maintenance.
• Attend monthly safety meetings and biannual emergency bus evacuation drills.
• Maintain all required certifications to drive a school bus in Arizona (CDL, CPR/First Aid, DOT med cert, IVP, etc.).
